Curriculum Vitae

Studies of electrical engineering and information technology at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Diploma thesis in 2011 at the Institute of Electric Energy Systems and High-Voltage Engineering (IRH) on model-predictive control of an energy transmission grid. Since 2011, scientist at the Corporate Research Center of ABB AG in Ladenburg, first as a member of the group of “Process and Production Optimization.” Since 2016, member of the group of “Grid Integration and Control".


With an increasing number of renewable producers, an increased flexibility of consumers and conventional producers becomes necessary for the stable operation of the electricity grid. Combined heat and power plants were classically controlled according to heat demand. In order to drive these producers more flexibly, heat accumulators are necessary. In addition to classic storage tanks, a heat network can also be used as such storage. The aim of the research is to use this network storage as efficiently and optimally as possible as a flexibility on the electricity market.
