Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sören Hohmann

Prof. Dr.-Ing Sören Hohmann followed the call as head of the Institute for Control Systems at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in fall 2010. Since April 2015, he has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Forschungszentrum Informatik (FZI).

With the KIT supervisory board decision of December 2018, the two institutes have been merged since 2019 and include now three professorships. Prof. Hohmann has been the appointed spokesperson of the institute management since then. In the newly founded IRS, two institutes are thus reunited which had emerged in 1965 from the spin-off of the Control Engineering Department of the Institute of Theoretical Electrical Engineering.
