1985 - 1991 Studies of electrical engineering at Universität Karlsruhe (TH), specialization in control technology. Doctorate in 1996 with a thesis on event-discrete observers for model-based process control at the Department of Electrical Engineering of Universität Karlsruhe (TH). Since 1998 Akademischer Rat, since 2003 Aksdemischer Oberrat and since 2021 Akademischer Direktor at the Institute of Control Systems.
Appointed Honorary Professor of the Technical University Sofia the 25th October 2017.
