Curriculum Vitae

Studies of electrical engineering at TU Berlin, doctorate in 1976 at TH Darmstadt with a thesis on the identification of non-linear stochastic systems. Until 1984, development of aviation control and navigation systems at Bodenseewerk Gerätetechnik GmbH, Überlingen. Then, Professor and Head of the Institute of Electrical Information Technology of TU Clausthal. Since 1991, Ordinary Professor at Universität Karlsruhe (TH) and Head of the Institute of Control Systems.

From October 1998 to September 2000, Dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. From October 2002 to September 2005, Member of the President’s Office of Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Vice President for Studies and Teaching. Since April 2009, retired.
